Lucille Vinyard was a member of the Board and a highly active voice from within the Citizens for a Redwood National Park (CNRP) organization. CRNP was a grassroots organization focused on letting Congress know the imminent need for the preservation of California Redwoods. Vinyard's involvement with the group was centered on community action, participating in the letter writing campaigns and conducting outreach through debates held at local schools. It is through this grassroots participation that many credit the park’s founding. This exhibit focuses on the letter writing campaigns and other letter artifacts associated with Lucille and CNRP.
